Order of Mithra | Erano-Aryanism & Mithraism

On the path of Truth

Arda is the highest Truth and Mithra is the immediate door to Truth.

In the cosmic struggle between Truth and Lie, we follow the path of Mithra to contribute our part in our cosmic duty. In the pursuit of Truth, truthfulness, liberation, self-determination, justice, reward, power, and survival, we become aware, and we choose the right path.

Mithraic Teachings

The Mithraic tradition and teachings originate from the Erano-Aryan cultural sphere and, through their historical influences, have demonstrated an unique character that deserve their own place in the world.

The teachings of the Order of Mithra are a.o. based on Mithraic traditions or Mithraic influenced traditions. They consist primarily of own teachings, but also respect & understand the complex, well established relationship to other Eranian and Indo-Aryan resources and traditions. Therefore, they also engage in the gathering of knowledge and methods of other Erano- & Indo-Aryan, as well as Indo-European teachings and traditions.

Three Pillars of Mithraism

As a collective, we believe that the contents transmitted to us by the Mithraic teachings and tradition are indispensably true, and that the observance of its principles is an ongoing process, through which universally valid, cosmic principles may at times be manifested, thereby advancing humanity and furthering it in its noble endeavors.

We therefore orient ourselves according to our three pillars: the Ardāwnāme (the Book of Ardā, Truth), the Jawānmardiye Aryān (the ethical code of behavior of nobility), and the Peymānnāme (the rules and manifestation of the Order, Covenant), which all together constitute the Order of Mithra.

The Ardāwnāme is the collection of texts and contents that encompasses the metaphysical, ontological, cosmological, and epistemolgical thoughts and teachings that build the foundation of the Mithraic worldview, ethics and covenant. It lays out the foundational principals of the universe, as we understand it, and thereby serves as the common ground.

The unconditional acceptance of this pillar is the first conviction of a member of the order.

1st Pillar

The Jawānmardiye Aryān is an ethical code of behavior that is binding for every member of the order and serves as a guidance for followers of the order. It serves as an omnipresent guide for all subjects. It’s application shall assist the individual in reaching individual, as also collective goals, thereby, following a path of nobility, enlightenment, awareness, generosity, courage, merit, and truthfulness.

The submission to an ethical life according to this pillar is the second conviction of a member of the order.

2nd Pillar

The Peymānnāme is the regulating faculty of all material matters based on the first two pillars. It orders the lives of the individuals and the collective in the covenant through rules. The Peymānnāme serves as the instance that regulates the actions and effects of the covenant on the world, and protects the members of malicious effects from the world.

The submission to the rules is only applicable and mandatory to active members, who engage actively in the order.
